Privacy Notice

1. Who is responsible for your information

The data controller is 东莞市屹信金属材料商行, a business registered in China, at 广东省东莞市长安镇靖海东路6号401.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Your name, company name, phone number, email address, delivery country and (optionally) destination port, together with the material, quantities and application details you enter in the quote form, and anything you write in the notes field.

Technical information

Standard server logs record the pages requested, the time of the request and an approximate location derived from the IP address. These logs are used to keep the site working and are not combined with your quote details.

What we do not collect

We do not run advertising or analytics trackers, we do not set marketing cookies, and we do not buy contact lists. There is no file upload on this site; drawings are exchanged by email after you make contact.

3. Why we use it, and the basis we rely on

To answer your inquiry and quote

We use the details you submit to prepare a quotation and to correspond with you about it. The legal basis is the steps needed to enter a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in responding to a business inquiry you started.

To arrange delivery

The destination country and port are used to calculate freight and to choose a route. Without them we cannot quote a delivered price.

To meet our own obligations

We keep records of quotations and orders where tax, customs or accounting rules require it.

4. Who else sees it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Two categories of service provider process it on our behalf: our email delivery provider, which transmits the inquiry notification and is located outside China, and our website hosting and content delivery provider, which serves the pages. Both act on our instructions and are bound to use the data only to provide that service.

5. Transfers outside your country

This site is operated from China, and inquiry notifications are delivered through an email provider outside China. Submitting the form therefore involves a transfer of your information across borders.

We rely on your consent for that transfer, which we ask for with the checkbox on the inquiry form. If you would rather not transfer the information, you can contact us directly at sales@nanfoss.com and we will handle the inquiry by whatever channel you prefer.

6. How long we keep it

Inquiry correspondence is kept for 24 months from the last message, so that a repeat order can be quoted without asking you for the same drawing twice.

Quotation and order records that must be kept for tax or customs purposes are retained for the period those rules require. Server logs are rotated and discarded within 90 days.

7. Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our continuing to process it. Write to the address below and we will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority — in China, the Cyberspace Administration; in the EU, the supervisory authority of the country where you live.

8. Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle personal information we will update this page and change the date shown at the top. We will not apply a new purpose to information you already gave us without telling you first.
